I spend hours every year putting together (adding, pruning, reordering) my “Ultimate Christmas Party Mix” playlist – a labor of love my friends and family keep on mistaking for inhumane cruelty. I can understand why nobody likes fruit cake – gross! – but Christmas music?
Anyway, I’m not one to shove my music down people’s ears so – on a totally voluntary basis – you can access my 2011 ultimate Christmas playlist attempt. Be ready for a whole lot of awesome: surf guitars, Latin orchestra, organ numbers, rodent and feline choirs… The things dreams are made of.
I’ve been listening to it in loop for a week and I’m still not tired – and I never want to skip a song. I think it’s my best to date – not too campy, not too classic… nothing superfluous. I had quite a hard time putting it in some sort of order though, so I suggest “shuffle” mode – which is not available on the widget but is on the list’s page. Enjoy!
